Training
Marcelo Garcia, Master Parachute Rigger and DPRE (Designated Parachute Rigger Examiner) has been training parachute riggers since 2010, conducting courses for both military and civilian riggers. He has trained riggers from many nations, and his commitment to continuing education has allowed him to pass on invaluable knowledge to new parachute riggers. Repairs and Maintenance

Rest easy while you wear your rig, knowing that it has been thoroughly inspected and maintained, there are many conditions that may require repairs and or maintenance, whether it is stains, humidity, exposure to elements, broken or damaged parts, rusted hardware etc. we are here to address whatever the issue may be.

About Marcelo

Marcelo Garcia is an accomplished parachute rigger with over two decades of experience. Starting his skydiving journey in 1982, he has accumulated nearly 3,000 parachute jumps. Marcelo is the designated parachute rigger examiner (DPRE) for the Houston Flight Standards District Office of the FAA (FSDO) Marcelo has been involved as a subject matter expert for the FAA's Testing Standards Board for parachute riggers, has assisted the FAA in accident investigations. Marcelo founded The Freefall Shop to address the growing need for reliable and affordable services when it comes to parachute maintenance, The Freefall Shop is a dealer for Various Parachute system manufacturers, The Freefall Shop is also a distributor for Para-Phernalia, the manufacturer of the Softie Emergency Bail Out systems, With approximately 65 successful emergency parachute deployments and one remarkable pilot save following a mid-air collision, Marcelo has consistently demonstrated his expertise and dedication.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, he runs a parachute rigging school where he has trained approximately 200 civilian and military riggers. His extensive experience includes fulfilling military rigging contracts for Special Forces Units, making him a respected figure in the skydiving and aviation community.
